Offering this top-of-funnel option brings in new students to your center, and builds a pipeline of businesses to involve in Student-Made in the future.

6-Week “How to start a Side-hustle” course

    Enrollment: 25 students maximum

  • Provides early-stage + aspiring side hustlers with the skills, tools, and knowledge needed to transform an idea, skill, or hobby, into a new line of income.

    This Lane Two program will help get several side hustle businesses operating sustainably on campus that can be later propelled by Student-Made’s selling channels. Gaining 6 weeks of in-depth content will prepare students new to the business world for scalable growth and a solid background knowledge of the facets that go into their businesses.

    A potential launch of Student-Made in the following semester would be a good trajectory to keep momentum going for these new side-hustlers!

3-Week Intensive “Side-hustle incubator” Course

    Length: 3 Weeks

    Enrollment: 25 Students Maximum

    • 3 Learning Labs (2 hours each)

    • 3 Office Hour Coaching Sessions (1 hour each)

  • Helps early-stage and aspiring entrepreneurs to start and grow a thriving side hustle— through 3 modules each lasting 1-week.

    The Three Learning Labs will guide students through key phases.

  • Part 1: Your Side Hustle Systems

    Week #1 is about setting the foundation for side hustle success through an introduction to the Side Hustle Spectrum, defining a winning aspiration and installing the Four Lanes Portfolio System.

    Part 2: The Customer Discovery Lab

    Week #2 is about winning with your side hustle— which starts with understanding your customer. This session introduces a range of discovery experiments and supports students to plan and execute the first test.

    Part 3: The Prototype and MVO Launch Lab

    Week #3 is about going to market, and speed is key for side hustlers. This session helps students to quickly test their offer with a prototype experiment that also lays the groundwork for the launch of their Minimum Viable Offer.

  • Not yet running a Student-Made branch?

    If you’re not quite ready to launch a Student-Made branch with selling channels for students, then this lower cost option could be a good place to start— and help prove the interest in launching our program once students reach the “go to market” phase and are ready to start selling. That’s where we come in!

    Already running a Student-Made branch?

    This program is directly tied to Student-Made on campus, funneling new interest to the program and your center. Student-Made co-founders will be present for the first session to intro our program to new students not yet engaged with Student-Made yet, and outline the steps needed to join our program once they successfully complete this course. This will allow us to reach students who are entrepreneurial thinkers, but not yet running a business— which is a demographic of entrepreneur we often miss.

The Startup Bug is a small education-focused organization that provides hands-on learning experiences, workshops, and programs designed to help aspiring entrepreneurs develop startup ideas, build teams, and understand early-stage business creation. It focuses on experiential learning, idea generation, and incubation-style activities that introduce participants to the startup process in a practical, collaborative environment.

Every lesson leverages experiential learning by enabling students to apply the lessons towards their own ideas. The Startup Bug doesn’t just teach lectures without student action.

    Also hear from the Student-Made Founders on the inspirational story of Student-Made including why creative businesses are the predominant mode of entrepreneurship on campus, and how this developed into our mission today to support ideas that are within the means of undergrad students to get up and running with low stakes.

    Culminating with a bang, the day will end with pitching the ideas created throughout the day, including how Student-Made will help them go to market and reach customers on campus.

    You’ll get to hear the value of Student-Made from the founders, and our impact goals for launching our program on your campus. And through The Startup Bug, we will gauge interest among students in learning the essentials of an early startup business— which will translate well into assessing interest in the Student-Made program on campus to provide selling outlets to new business concepts created throughout our visit.

    Already running a Student-Made branch?

    Your students will get to meet the founders and hear the origin story behind the program they’re part of today— and we will draw out new students interested in bringing a business concept to life, with the goal of helping your center engage new entrepreneurs and expand the pipeline of students ready to join Student-Made in the near future.

2-day Virtual “Growth Crash Course” Intensive

  • Non-Student-Made Campus Cost: $2,500

    Student-Made Starter Cost: $2,250 ($250 Discount)

    Student-Made Advanced Cost: $2,000 ($500 Discount)

    Length: 2 Days— Your choice whether occurring over a span of 3 days or 7 days

    Enrollment: 10 Students Maximum for most hands-on ability to facilitate with each student.

    Features:

    • 6 key topics for making sure your brand is well positioned for success as your grow beyond the launch phase.

    • Three 75-Minute sessions on each day.

  • Gives 10 students an opportunity to value-test their businesses, and be ready to better capitalize on sales outlets through Student-Made if they’re already enrolled— or be positioned to start selling through Student-Made if your campus launches a branch of the program.

    Geared mainly toward existing product businesses, this program will cover growth-oriented topics to make sure students are well positioned to grow successfully beyond the initial launch phase. This includes re-evaluating the basic business model, pricing strategy, and brand look/feel.

    • 5:30 - 5:45 PM: Intro to Program

    If you’re not quite ready to launch a Student-Made branch with selling channels for students, then this is a way to still provide very valuable tools to students geared toward legitimizing their product businesses as they sell through their own channels (personal website, pop-ups, etc)

    Already running a Student-Made branch?

    This program is directly tied to Student-Made on campus, taking the Top 10 student businesses that could benefit from intensely analyzing their offerings over 8 hours to become better prepared to thrive through the Student-Made program. This could be 10 students who are preparing to pursue their businesses most seriously in the future— or 10 students who could use a boost to perform a bit better on their sales and brand awareness.
