I decided to join Student-Made because I decided to start my small business and the program gave me a platform to sell my products and a supportive community.

Being a part of Student-Made has changed my college experience. It has given me the opportunity to make an impact, connect with other driven students, and learn how powerful it is when a community comes together to support each other’s dreams.

Remember the power your purchases carry. That favorite restaurant, salon, or little shop down the street? Those places exist because people like you choose them.

I’m proud of our entire branch, and I want to be a reason why our creators are a success. If they look back at their college experience and think about how pop-up shops I helped host were the foundation of their careers, then I know I will have done my job correctly.

Owning a business is like buckling up for the roller coaster ride of a lifetime—full of highs, lows, joy, challenges, and everything in between. But as Student-Made emphasizes: you’re not on the ride alone.

Don’t take for granted the power of establishing little connections along your journey. You never know how you will impact someone else, and how someone might impact you.

Many makers have the talent but not the entrepreneurial instinct. Student-Made bridges that gap. It shows how to turn their craft into commercial success.

I feel such gratitude for Student-Made helping me meet so many business-minded individuals and playing a part in my professional development.

Student-Made has given me a deep sense of confidence in both my creative abilities and my leadership skills, and I know I will be successful if I put my mind to it.

It has been a dream of MSU creators to have their products in a physical store, and our Student-Made partnership helped make this possible.

My time with Student-Made has shown me that my actions impact those around me and I want to continue to do that as I graduate.
