HOW TO UNLOCK OPPORTUNITIES THROUGH YOUR NETWORK
You know the saying, “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with”? I know it might sound like a cliche, but for me this has been something that I think about often, and try to live by.
Of course it makes sense that we should spend time around people we admire most in order to become the person we want to be, right?
But I can honestly say I never reflected much on how this concept also applies to my business— just instead of individual people, looking more broadly at networks that have helped my business become what I always wanted it to be.
So, how many did you end up with? Way more than you thought? I'm not surprised!
Now that I can look back and trace so many tangible ways that my networks have served our company growth at Student-Made, I am so energized about all of the possible connections there are to make out there!
Don’t take for granted the power of establishing all those little connections along your journey. You never know how you will impact someone else, and how someone might impact you.
If you asked me five years ago, the words "favorite" and "LinkedIn" would never be in the same sentence.
Now that I understand the impact of connections and networks, I am excited and intentional about keeping them, and LinkedIn helps a lot.
